Malus domestica (Suckow) Borkh. Apple · Fruit crops · bred by HERRIS JOHN (GB)

also searched as: кримсон кокс

Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a bud mutation (sport) of the Cox’s Orange Pippin variety. The fruits are medium-sized and distinguished by a more intense, bright crimson skin color compared to the parent variety.

Fruit harvesting takes place at the end of September; the flowering period in UK conditions occurs in early to mid-May. The fruits are characterized as juicy, sweet, and having a nutty-aromatic flavor, and are intended for dessert use.

Like the original variety, this clone is demanding in terms of growing conditions and can be susceptible to typical apple diseases, including scab, powdery mildew, and canker.
