The Crawley Beauty variety was discovered in 1870 in Great Britain. The tree is moderately vigorous with a spreading habit, the height of which depends on the rootstock. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to scab, canker, and powdery mildew, as well as abundant fruiting.

The fruits are medium-sized, with a flat or rounded shape. The skin is light green, turning pale yellow upon ripening with a brownish-red blush and stripes. The white flesh with a greenish tint produces a light-colored puree when cooked and is suitable for fresh consumption after storage.
