The fruits are of medium size, flat-round in shape, and covered with a characteristic russet net. The ground color of the skin is greenish-yellow with red-brown spots or a diffuse blush. The flesh has a greenish hue, is juicy and crisp, with a balanced sweet-sour taste and a distinct aroma with notes of hay, melon, and lemon.

The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and is a triploid. It is a late variety; harvest takes place at the end of October, and the consumption period lasts from mid-January to April. During storage, the fruits are prone to shriveling. The plant is characterized as being sufficiently hardy, with moderate susceptibility to scab and powdery mildew.

There is a natural mutation of the variety called Rote Damason Reinette, which is distinguished by a more intense red skin color and a pronounced sour-aromatic taste.
