The variety is a spontaneous clone of the Jonagold apple. The tree is characterized by medium vigor and a dense, rounded crown. The fruit ripening period is classified as late autumn, though in terms of consumption period, the variety is often considered a winter one.

The plant possesses good resistance to scab. Frost resistance is estimated in the range of -30°C to -35°C, depending on the climatic conditions of the region. The variety is intended for commercial fruit growing, including the establishment of super-intensive orchards using drip irrigation systems.
