The Fåremule variety is diploid (2N). Genetic analysis revealed the presence of S-RNase S3 and S10 alleles in this variety.

This variety is included in the lists of Danish apple trees as part of collection material, in particular in the Pometet database of the University of Copenhagen. A detailed morphological and economic description of the variety is absent in publications.
