The tree of the variety is characterized by vigorous growth and a vertically oriented crown with sparse foliage. Fruiting occurs mainly on twigs, spurs, and brindles. The variety is identified as a historical variety common in the Trentino-Alto Adige region and is considered identical to the Roter Eiserapfel variety.

The medium-sized fruits have a coarse and low-juicy white flesh with greenish tints and a slightly acidic taste. Russeting is often found on the surface of the fruits, especially near the stalk. The variety is prone to pre-harvest fruit drop and the development of superficial scald during storage.
