The variety is a clone of Gala that inherits the main characteristics of the original type but differs in fruit color. The fruits have a wine-red color, often without the striping characteristic of the original variety. The flesh is firm, crisp, and juicy, with a dessert taste, sweet with a slight acidity.

The trees are medium-vigorous and belong to late-autumn or early-winter varieties. Resistance to fungal diseases, such as scab and powdery mildew, is assessed as medium. Winter hardiness is medium. Agrotechnical features, including flowering periods and requirements for pollinators, are identical to the parent variety Gala.
