The variety is the result of crossing Jonathan and Macoun. The tree is upright, moderately vigorous, prone to significant height growth, and requires regular pruning. It belongs to hardiness zones 4–7 and is susceptible to scab.

The fruits are medium-sized, with a yellowish-white ground color and a bright red-purple blush, often with stripes and light lenticels. The flesh is white, juicy, and crisp, with a delicate texture and subtle aroma.
