In scientific literature, Julired is known as a variety used for crossing in the breeding of other apples, specifically the Early Geneva variety. In commercial offers, it is described as a late variety maturing at the end of September or the beginning of October.

The fruits are described as large, weighing from 120 to 180 g, sometimes up to 400 g, round in shape with an intense red striped blush. The fruit flesh is white, juicy, tender, and dessert-like in taste. When grafted onto dwarf rootstock, the tree reaches a height of 2.5–3 meters. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and are characterized by good keeping quality.
