Variety description

The variety is late-maturing; harvest is carried out in early October. The fruits are large, flattened-round, with well-defined ribs. The skin is greenish-yellow, often with a brownish-red blush, visible lenticels, and a characteristic russet net.

The flesh is medium-dense, light yellow, has a sweet-and-sour taste and a specific rennet aroma. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption. The variety is characterized by lower yields and is attractive to the codling moth (Cydia pomonella).

The plant belongs to traditional varieties grown in home gardens and extensive orchards. In specialized literature, the variety is also known under the names Kanadska reneta and Reinette Grise du Canada.
