The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work at the Laimburg research center. The plant is a low-vigour tree with a compact crown shape. The variety possesses genetic resistance to apple scab due to the presence of the Rvi6 (Vf) gene.

The fruits are large, have a flattened spherical shape, and a bicolored appearance. The taste of the fruits is slightly acidic. Ripening times occur in the period between the Fuji and Cripps Pink varieties. The variety is also being studied for hypoallergenic properties.
