In pomological sources, Neuhäuser Boiken is considered a synonym for the variety Boiken, also known as Boikenapfel. The name is associated with the locality of Neuhaus. Sometimes this name is mistakenly attributed to other varieties due to the visual similarity of the fruit.

Trees of this variety are vigorous, with a dense, rounded crown, and enter the bearing period relatively late. The fruit have a round-conical, ribbed shape and a greenish-yellow color, sometimes with a delicate pink blush. The flesh is characterized by its firmness.

The variety possesses sufficient winter hardiness and drought tolerance, however, it is characterized by moderate resistance to scab and a susceptibility to bitter rot during storage. Historically, the variety was used for culinary and household purposes.
