The tree is vigorous, entering into bearing in the 7–8th year. The variety is triploid, therefore it requires the presence of other apple varieties for cross-pollination. Trees are demanding of soil, tolerate dry, waterlogged, or poor soils poorly, and also require warm and wind-protected sites. In unfavorable conditions, the tree is susceptible to apple scab and black rot.
Fruits are medium-sized, flat-globular in shape, golden-yellow in color with a blush and characteristic russeting. The flesh is light yellow, juicy, and possesses a nutty aftertaste and aroma. Harvest maturity occurs at the end of September, consumer maturity by December; fruits can be stored until April.
