The tree can be both large and small, possessing a reduced ability for self-pollination due to triploidy. Fruits are medium to large, flat-globular in shape with truncated poles. The skin is smooth, golden-yellow, often with a blush, carmine specks, and russet-colored stars.

The flesh is light yellow, tender, juicy, with a wine-sweet taste and nutty notes. Harvest maturity occurs at the end of September, consumer maturity from December to April. The variety is demanding of heat and light, does not tolerate poor soils well, and is susceptible to scab and black cancer.

Fruits are for universal use: they are used fresh, for baking, and for cider production; they tolerate transportation well. Productivity is high, however, with abundant fruiting, the trees are prone to rapid aging.
