The variety is a clone in the "Pigeon" type apple group and originated on the island of Møn, where it was discovered in the mid-19th century. The consumption period for the fruits extends from late November to deep winter.
The fruits have a round-ovoid or truncate-ovoid shape. Upon ripening, the light yellow skin acquires a dark "pigeon" red color with speckles and streaks on the sun-exposed side. The flesh is white, juicy, with a wine-like taste and a characteristic aroma.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
