The variety is local and distributed in Central Italy, particularly in the regions of Umbria, Tuscany, and Abruzzo. Genetic studies have confirmed that it is a synonym for the variety Panaia. The plant has moderate vigor, is prone to biennial bearing, and is characterized by late flowering dates.

The fruits are of medium or medium-small size, have a conical-oval or cylindrical shape, and have yellow-green skin. Harvesting is carried out in November; the apples have high keeping quality and can be stored until May of the following year. The variety can be susceptible to fungal diseases such as black spot.

The fruits are suitable both for fresh consumption and for culinary processing, including use in boiled form with spices.
