The variety belongs to the autumn maturity group and possesses high winter hardiness, allowing it to be grown in the first to fifth hardiness zones of Finland. The tree originates from the Iitti region and has been known since the beginning of the 20th century.
The fruits are of medium size, flat or flat-rounded in shape with noticeable ribbing. The surface is bright red, sometimes with a bluish waxy bloom. The flesh is tender but somewhat coarse, the taste is a balanced sweet-and-sour with a spicy aroma. The variety is resistant to scab, although in rainy years it may be affected by this disease.
