Pogačar, also known by the synonyms Božičnica and Pogačarica, is an autochthonous Slovenian apple variety. Its origin is linked to folk selection, therefore the variety has no author or institutional breeding history.
Currently, the variety is under the observation of specialists from the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana, who are engaged in its study, description, and maintenance within the framework of agricultural programs for the conservation of genetic resources.
