The variety is a bud mutation of the Cripps Pink variety discovered in 1999 in Western Australia. The key distinctive feature is the ripening period: the fruit is ready for harvest at least 15 days, and according to some data 2–4 weeks, earlier than the parent variety.
The fruit meets the quality standards of the Pink Lady brand. The main value of the variety lies in its ripening timing, which allows it to be used for the commercial cultivation of premium quality apples and for extending the product sales period.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
