The variety has unknown origins and is historically distributed across the territories of Central and Southeastern Europe. Fruits ripen in the first half of October, are characterized by good keeping quality until spring, and possess good transportability.

The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and resistance to winter frosts. Due to triploidy, the variety is not an effective pollinator; Jonathan and Zlatna zimska parmenka varieties are recommended for it. It is classified as a dessert and processing variety.
