The tree is distinguished by very high vigor and forms a wide, flat crown. The variety is known by many synonyms, including Roter Pogácsa Apfel, Haslinger, and Brixner Plattling.

The medium-small fruits have a truncate-conical flattened shape. The dense and smooth skin covers white flesh with a sour taste. Due to the thick skin, the fruits have a specific aroma.

The variety is demanding regarding soil conditions: it prefers fertile and moist areas, while it does not tolerate excessive waterlogging.
