The variety is a mutant of the Rafzubin variety, obtained from a cross between Cox’s Orange Pippin and Golden Delicious. The tree has a weak to medium growth habit and bears fruit of type III. Branches are prone to vertical growth and require tying.

Fruit ripening occurs approximately one week before the Golden Delicious variety. The fruits have a rustic appearance with 85% blushed red coloration. The flesh of the fruits is crisp and juicy. When stored in cold conditions, the product keeps until December; in controlled atmosphere conditions, until February.

The variety has medium sensitivity to scab and can be susceptible to apple tree canker. Onset of bearing is medium-early, productivity is medium, and the variety is prone to regularity. Suitable pollinators are Gala, Golden Delicious, Idared, Cox, and other diploid varieties.
