The Rainha variety is a result of breeding, presumably obtained by crossing the Golden Delicious and Valinhense varieties. The plant belongs to the group of apple trees with low chilling requirements, which adapts it to a subtropical climate.

The fruits of the variety are characterized by a sweet taste with a pleasant acidity and are intended for fresh consumption.
