The fruits of this variety are large or very large, have a truncated-conical or round-flattened shape with pronounced ribbing. The skin is yellow-green with red stripes or a blush, sometimes with elements of russeting. The flesh is yellowish, of a loose or coarse-grained structure, juicy, with a sweet-tart taste.

The tree is vigorous and energetic, characterized by precocity and abundant annual yields. The variety has moderate susceptibility to fire blight. The fruits do not hold onto the branches firmly enough, so they require protection from strong wind.

The variety is versatile and suitable both for fresh consumption and for culinary processing. There is often confusion in the literature, as other local forms and varieties may be hidden under the name "Rambour" in different regions.
