The variety is local and originates from a seedling planted in the 1940s in the Finnish municipality of Veteli. The tree is characterized by moderate growth, good health, and high yield. In the Finnish hardiness zone system, the winter hardiness of the variety is rated as I–V.

The fruits are medium-sized and have a flat-round shape. The taste of the fruits is sweet and sour; the flesh is juicy, with a distinct cinnamon aroma. The variety is intended for fresh consumption, as well as for processing into juices and purees.
