The fruits have a sweet-and-sour taste, good transportability, and can be stored until March. The variety is used both for fresh consumption and for processing into juices, cider, and other culinary products.

The trees are characterized by compactness. The variety is resistant to scab and is part of a group of red-fleshed varieties united by the Red Moon brand.
