The variety belongs to the group of cider apples. During the breeding process, one of the key goals was to overcome the biennial bearing characteristic of local Asturian varieties.
The plant has specific requirements for the dormancy period. Under Asturian conditions, flowering is recorded around April 17. Fruit quality is determined by technological parameters, such as total acidity and phenolic compound content.
