The variety was obtained in 1986 as a result of crossing the varieties Cortland and a scab-resistant wild seedling No. 23. The plant is characterized by moderate growth vigor and high yield, and possesses high winter hardiness.

The fruits are small, have a round shape and a mass of about 20 g. The main color of the fruits is red. The flesh is firm, with a sweet-and-sour taste, edible, but due to the small size of the fruits and specific flavor, the variety is primarily used for ornamental purposes or for processing.
