The variety originates from the Pallars Sobirà region, Baiasca village. The tree is characterized as hardy, possessing a vigorous upright crown. Fruits are small in size, globular-conical and slightly flattened in shape, with yellow-green skin and a pink patch on the sunny side.

The fruit flesh is juicy, crunchy, sweet to the taste, sometimes with a greenish hue. The variety is late-maturing; flowering occurs late, and harvest takes place in October or early November. The fruits are noted for good keeping quality, traditionally lasting until spring when stored in cool rooms.
