Sevciš is not an independent variety, but serves as one of the synonyms for the traditional Slovenian variety Goriška sevka. Other names for this variety include Brkinka, Primorski bobovec, Seuš, Štangerca, and Tolminka.

The fruits of this variety ripen in September. They are characterized as sweet and juicy, and the variety possesses good keeping quality in storage. Currently, the variety is maintained by specialized institutions as part of traditional cultural heritage.
