The variety is an old folk variety historically developed in the Baltic countries. The trees grow large and are characterized by late onset of bearing.

Fruits are medium-sized, about 100 g, round-conical in shape, often with wide, indistinct ribs. The thin smooth skin has a grayish-green-yellow color, sometimes with a striped blush and a characteristic clay-pink hue.

The flesh is juicy, the taste is sweet-and-sour, with a pronounced specific aroma. The fruits have good transportability. The variety shows relative resistance to scab, but is sensitive to apple tree canker, especially in coastal climatic conditions.
