The Shalimar variety, also known under the breeding number UEB 3374/2, is a winter variety of Czech origin. The tree is characterized by moderately vigorous growth and a spreading crown. The variety is diploid and self-sterile, suitable for cultivation in regions with temperate and warm climates.

The fruits are medium-sized, conical in shape, and have a greenish-yellow color with an orange-red striped blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, juicy, and crisp. The taste of the fruit is aromatic, sweet-sour.

Harvesting takes place at the end of October. Consumer maturity occurs in January; with proper storage, the fruits maintain quality until April, and under cool conditions, for up to half a year. The variety possesses genetic resistance to scab (Rvi6) and is tolerant to powdery mildew.
