The name Šarlamovska is a synonym for the well-known folk-selected variety Borovinka. The fruits of the variety are characterized by medium size, round-cylindrical shape, and the presence of red stripes on a yellowish background. The flesh is distinguished by its juiciness and sweet-and-sour taste.

The variety belongs to early summer maturity groups and possesses high winter hardiness, which historically contributed to its distribution in northern regions. The fruits are versatile in use: they are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for drying, and the production of juices and compotes.

Under modern conditions, the variety can show susceptibility to fungal diseases, in particular to scab, which requires the implementation of protective measures in orchards.
