The variety is a hybrid obtained as a result of crossing the Golden Delicious and Early McIntosh varieties. The tree is moderately vigorous, with a vertical branching habit, and is prone to forming fruit buds on spurs. It is characterized by a tendency towards biennial bearing and is self-incompatible.
The fruits are small to medium in size, with a round or round-conical shape. The skin at maturity is greenish-yellow, sometimes with a slight pinkish blush. The flesh is white, juicy, crisp, with a sweet taste and aromatic notes. Fruit keeping quality is up to two months under cold conditions.
