The variety is historically distributed in the Tišnov district of the South Moravian Region and is known under the synonym Boračské šarlatové. It is a representative of old folk varieties that have not undergone specialized modern breeding and is currently included in programs for the conservation of fruit tree gene pools.

The plant possesses high adaptability to local climatic conditions and vitality when grown in extensive orchards. The fruits of this variety are distinguished by a high antioxidant content, which has been confirmed by the results of chemical analyses within the framework of studies on nutrient parameters.
