The variety belongs to the local genetic resources of the Balkan region. The fruits are distinguished by significant weight, high keeping quality, and specific chemical composition, in particular, a high content of dihydrochalcones in the skin and flesh.

The plant possesses natural resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. Identification of the variety is complicated by the presence of local synonyms, such as Srčika, and possible confusion with the varieties Zeleni Štetinec and Zelena Kneževka.
