The fruits are large, reaching a weight of 570 g, round or round-conical in shape with pronounced ribbing. The firm skin has a greenish-yellow color with red stripes and dashes. The flesh is whitish with a yellowish tint, coarse-grained, tender, and moderately juicy.

The tree is of moderate vigor with an upright-spreading crown, bearing fruit primarily on spurs. It is a late autumn ripening variety; the fruits are suitable for storage until early winter. In cultivation, it shows resistance to powdery mildew, but is susceptible to apple scab and apple tree canker.

The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators. The fruits are considered universal, but are most valued in cooking for pies, sauces, and drying; they are also suitable for fresh consumption and cider production.
