The tree is vigorous, reaching significant size over time. The variety possesses high winter hardiness and is recommended for cultivation in a wide range of climatic zones in Finland. The tree is notable for good health and is rarely affected by apple scab or codling moth.

The fruits are large, red-orange in color, and often have an irregular shape. The taste of the flesh is wine-acid. The apples are considered suitable for domestic use, and their flavor qualities improve after several weeks of indoor storage.
