The Tulpappel (Tulpenapfel) variety is characterized by fruits with a distinctive shape resembling a tulip and a red skin color. The taste of the apples is fresh, sweet and sour. The tree grows with medium or high intensity, is characterized by hardiness, and is suitable for cultivation in orchards with high-stem trees.

Fruits ripen in August, their consumption period lasts from September to November. The variety is not intended for long-term storage. Trees are characterized by good yields at a young age. The variety is self-fertile, however, cross-pollination contributes to increased productivity.
