The Tuuli tree has medium vigor and a rounded crown shape. The variety is characterized by high viability and good winter hardiness, proven by successfully surviving the severe winter of 1978/79.

The fruits are rounded with pronounced ribs, their mass averages 90–100 g, with a maximum of up to 120 g. The fruit surface is waxy yellow in color with a pronounced red blush and light-colored lenticels.

The fruit skin is quite thick. The flesh is characterized as firm and moderately juicy; the taste varies from sour to sweet-and-sour. The storage period for the fruits in a cellar is limited to December.
