The variety is a traditional local genetic resource originating from the province of Arezzo. It belongs to heirloom varieties and is not a commercial breeding achievement.

The fruits have greenish-yellow skin, which becomes more intense during ripening and acquires a red blush on the sunny side. The fruit flesh is juicy, white, with a distinct aroma. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption and processing, in particular for cider production.

The harvest ripening period occurs in the second half of August, approximately on the 20th.
