10 August 2026
The variety is considered ancient; its precise origin has not been established, however, it is mentioned in documents from 1813 as being cultivated in the province of Piacenza. Historically, apples of this variety were used in local farming, including for the preparation of sauces.
The fruits are described as juicy, with a sweet-and-sour taste and greenish-white flesh. The fruit skin is greenish, coarse, with pronounced russeting. Fruit ripening occurs in October, and the tree has medium vigor.
