The variety is of Lithuanian origin and is more often encountered under the name Vitenu Vasarinis. The word Vasarinis in the name indicates that the variety belongs to the summer maturity group.

At the present time, a detailed description of the morphological characteristics of the plant, a description of the taste qualities of the fruit, and information on disease resistance are not detailed in scientific publications and catalogs. The variety is included in genetic resource collections, for example, at the Polli Horticultural Research Centre in Estonia.
