The Zelenka sochnaya variety is a vigorous tree with a spreading crown. Fruits weighing from 78 to 160 g have a spherical, slightly flattened-round shape. The flesh is yellowish in hue, tender, juicy, fine-grained, with a sweet-sour taste and a pronounced aroma.

The plant is distinguished by high ecological adaptability, withstands frosts down to -40 °C, and is resistant to sunburn. The variety possesses high resistance to scab, Monilinia blossom wilt, and bacterial bark canker. It enters the bearing stage in the 2–6 year after planting.
