ZEUKA DI MOSTACINS is not a separate variety, but a local name for the Zeuka apple, which has been confirmed by genetic studies conducted by the University of Udine and the ERSA agency. The variety is considered historical for the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, and specific specimens have been identified in the province of Udine.

The plant belongs to early varieties: flowering begins in the second ten days of April, while harvesting and consumer maturity of the fruits occur in the second ten days of July. The variety is characterized by good productivity, however, the fruits are small in size.

The variety has many other local synonyms, such as Bolzanin, Carlesso 1, Chèi da Stràda, Colussa 2, Dal Fier, Del Ros, Il Turc, Mel da Strada, Nastona, Paularo, Precoce, Rosse di Croazia, Setembrìn, as well as numerous variants with the prefix Zeuka di.
