Zeuka is a local genetic type of apple tree that formed as a result of folk selection. The name Zeuka di Treppo indicates a specific location where the trees were found and is genetically identical to other variations of the variety, such as Zeuka di Castelnovo or Zeuka di Becis.

The fruits belong to the winter maturity group and can be stored until April. The apples are characterized by a red skin color, the presence of stripes, and juicy and crisp flesh; the taste varies from sour to sweet-and-sour. The variety is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing.

The trees are considered hardy and demonstrate high tolerance to scab and powdery mildew compared to modern varieties. The variety is preserved as an element of the historical agrobiodiversity of the region.
