Variety description

The cultivar belongs to the early-mid maturity group with a stem height ranging from short to medium. It is characterized by resistance to a number of diseases and good winter hardiness, although it is inferior to more modern breeding forms in terms of longevity in the sward.

The plant yields 7–13 t/ha of dry matter and about 600 kg/ha of seeds. The cultivar is intended for the production of hay, silage, and haylage, and can also be used as a green manure and honey plant. It is not recommended for grazing use due to a tendency to lodging, which is partially mitigated in mixtures with Phleum pratense.

It prefers dry, well-aerated calcareous soils with a pH level of 6.0–7.0. The cultivar is sensitive to water stagnation and the formation of ice crust.
