The Medicago sativa variety Memont is officially registered and included in the EU common catalogue of varieties of agricultural plant species. Its origin is linked to the activities of the agricultural agency ARSSA in the Abruzzo region, Italy.
The variety is intended for use in forage production. It is also preserved within the framework of regional agrobiodiversity conservation programs in the germplasm bank (Banca del Germoplasma d'Abruzzo).
