Variety description

The variety is a biennial plant. In the first year of life, it forms vegetative mass; flowering and seed formation occur in the second year. The plant has a powerful taproot, erect branched stems, and trifoliate leaves with serrated edges. The flowers are white and gathered in raceme inflorescences.

The variety is undemanding to soil and climatic conditions and develops well on less fertile and sandy soils; however, it does not tolerate waterlogged or heavy substrates. The plant contains coumarin.

It is used as a forage crop for green fodder and silage, and is applied as a green manure for improving low-productivity lands and reclaiming disturbed areas. The variety is also of significant value for beekeeping.
