The variety is a biennial plant with a well-developed taproot system that contributes to intensive aeration and loosening of the soil. The chemical composition of the plant contains coumarin.

The crop effectively fixes nitrogen from the atmosphere, which is why it is used as a green manure to improve soil structure and accumulate humus. The variety is suitable for land reclamation and as a precursor for grain crops.

As a forage additive, the variety requires careful handling due to its coumarin content. When using it in crop rotation, the influence of the decomposition rate of plant residues on the yield of subsequent crops should be taken into account.
